Puerto Jiménez: Full-Day Tour to Estación Sirena – Corcovado National Park
Our tour begins early in the morning from our Corcovado Wild Tours office in Puerto Jiménez at 5:15 a.m. We then walk to the public pier in Puerto Jiménez, where we board the boat that will take us into the heart of Corcovado National Park.
The journey begins with a roughly 30-minute crossing of the tranquil Golfo Dulce, followed by about 45 minutes across the Pacific Ocean until we reach Estación Sirena, one of the most biodiverse sites on the planet. Arrival is scheduled for around 7:20 AM.
At 7:30 a.m., we will check in with the park rangers and immediately begin our guided hike along the Sirena trails. During the tour, which lasts until approximately 11:30 a.m., you will have excellent opportunities to observe the park’s incredible wildlife.
With a bit of luck, we may spot animals such as howler monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys, sloths, tapirs, peccaries, coatis, iguanas, and crocodiles, as well as a wide variety of tropical birds, including scarlet macaws, toucans, and many other species. Corcovado is considered one of the most biodiverse sites in the Americas.
At 11:30 a.m., we will make a stop at the Sirena Station, where you will have time to use the restrooms or purchase a light snack or beverage before continuing on the final part of the tour.
From 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm, we will take a final short hike along the trails, making the most of our last opportunities to spot wildlife.
At 12:45 p.m., we will board the boat to return to Puerto Jiménez, arriving at the dock at approximately 2:20 p.m.
