Escape the city and discover the stunning landscapes of the Ecuadorian Andes and the Amazon cloud forest on this full-day adventure to Papallacta.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Quito (La Carolina, La Mariscal, La Floresta, or the Historic Center) and drive east across the Andes to Papallacta, located at approximately 3,300 meters (10,800 ft) above sea level.

During the tour, you will:

• Explore the beautiful cloud forest trails at Guango Lodge, walking through lush vegetation along the Papallacta River.
• Discover the unique flora and fauna of this biodiversity hotspot.
• Observe a variety of bird species, including hummingbirds, toucans, jays, caciques, and many other Andean and cloud forest birds.
• Enjoy free time to relax in the famous Papallacta Hot Springs, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.
• Optionally book a massage or spa treatment at the resort (subject to availability).

After the nature walk and hot springs experience, we will stop for lunch before beginning our return journey.

At the end of the day, we will drive back to Quito and drop you off at your hotel.

Important: The cloud forest walk takes place on natural mountain trails that may be muddy, uneven, and slippery, especially after rain. We recommend wearing closed-toe hiking shoes or boots and bringing a light rain jacket.
