After departing from Cusco, we will head towards Cusipata, traveling through scenic Andean landscapes. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a delicious buffet-style breakfast (included), perfect to recharge before your high-altitude adventure. Along the way, admire traditional villages, herds of alpacas, and breathtaking mountain scenery.

Continue toward the peaceful town of Layo, overlooking the spectacular Langui Lagoon, located at approximately 4,200 meters (13,780 ft) above sea level. This brief stop offers incredible panoramic views and perfect photo opportunities before arriving at the hiking trail.

Arrive at the trailhead and begin your guided hike to Pallay Punchu Mountain, rising to approximately 4,700 meters (15,420 ft) above sea level. Known as the ultimate Rainbow Mountain alternative south of Cusco, Pallay Punchu features dramatic poncho-shaped ridges painted in vibrant natural mineral colors. Unlike the crowded Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, this experience offers a quieter and more exclusive high-altitude adventure. The uphill hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace and acclimatization level. At the summit, you will have ample time to: • Capture breathtaking panoramic photographs • Admire sweeping views over Langui Lagoon • Relax and experience one of Peru’s most photogenic Andean landscapes After descending, you will return to Sicuani to enjoy a buffet-style lunch (included) featuring a variety of local dishes before heading back to Cusco.
