What you can expect

With the artisans and makers tour you will discover what our artists and artisans have been doing for the last 200 years. The fileteado is type of art very “argentinian” From the paintings on signs or cristals to our own “colectivos” (buses) were decored with this type of art.
On the other hand, our Silversmith will be able to show you why the Pope has an argentinian made Chalice amongst others.

This purely artistic tour will show you around every aspect of the contemporary art in Buenos Aires including master artisans of silver and “fileteado” artists. “Fileteado” is a type of painting typical from Buenos Aires characterized for using spirals, strong colors, recurrent use of symmetry, three-dimensional effects through shadows and perspectives, and overloaded surface use.

Then we will continue on foot through the picturesque streets of the neighborhood knowing its history and that of the Argentine products recognized worldwide, such as mate and dulce de leche. In the heart of the neighborhood, we will visit the emblematic San Telmo Market and the premises of two of the most important Argentinian silversmiths. Finally, we will go back to the past by sharing a coffee in a traditional Café.

We are granted by the safe travel seal of World Travel & Tourism Council.
