Your adventure begins with a journey back in time to Kairouan, the fourth holiest city in Islam. Upon arrival, you will be struck by the serenity of the Great Mosque, a masterpiece of medieval architecture. Accompanied by your guide, you will explore the Barber's Mausoleum and the impressive Aghlabid Basins. A stroll through the medina will allow you to discover the secrets of making traditional rugs and to sample the famous makroudh, the local semolina and date cake.

After a lunch of authentic cuisine, we will hit the road to discover a wilder side of Tunisia. You will reach Kesra, the country's highest village, situated at an elevation of 1,200 meters (3,937 feet). Here, the landscape changes dramatically: minarets give way to solid stone houses clinging to the rock face. You will walk down ancient stairways to reach the natural water springs that gush forth from the mountain. From a visit to the Museum of Berber Traditions to breathtaking panoramic views of the central plains, this day offers you a complete escape, far from the usual tourist routes. A return to the essentials, amidst spirituality and unspoiled nature.
