What you can expect

  • Try a delicious Indonesian meal at a local restaurant with calming live music. Enjoy the warm atmosphere and classic Sultan Palace architecture, and choose from a wide range of food options at the buffet, which should cater to most people.

After your meal, stroll over to the Purawisata Amphitheater for the Ramayana Ballet. The entire Ramayana story is presented through body movements and dancing, without any dialogue.

Sit back and marvel at the dancers as they gracefully perform, and enjoy the backing music, perfectly matched to show the beautiful moments, and give emphasis to the harder times.

Watch as the staging changes over time in the story, such as becoming crowded to portray the time spent at war. After the show, you can take pictures with all the performers on the stage.
