What you can expect

WHAT MAKES THIS EXPERIENCE UNIQUE
This is no ordinary fado show. It takes place inside the Monastery of São Bento da Vitória, a national monument in Porto, and combines a guided tour, live fado and two artisanal drinks: Port wine and the rare Singeverga liqueur, made by the Benedictine monks.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
You’ll start with sampling the Singeverga liqueur and a guided tour, led by a local guide, of one of Portugal’s most beautiful monasteries. Then, in the sacristy with its unique acoustics, you’ll listen to authentic fado (performed by a fado singer, accompanied by the Portuguese guitar and the fado viola) whilst savouring a glass of Port wine. You’ll also visit a shop selling products made by the monks.

GOOD TO KNOW
We welcome you in Portuguese and English. The entrance is at the rear of the monastery; please arrive about 10 minutes early to start the evening at a leisurely pace.
