What you can expect

  • Learn about life in the Roman Empire on a 2-hour guided tour of one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in southern Italy.

Meting point at the Tempio Travel Office by Pompei Train Station. Here, you will take a guided tour of the ruins of the Roman Republic town, buried by the ash of Mt. Vesuvius when it erupted in 79AD. Lost for hundreds of years, Pompeii has now regained its prominent role in the Campania region.

Navigate the labyrinth of ruins, where it’s easy to get lost without the help of a map or knowledgeable guide. They will take you to the most significant ruins, including theaters, famous villas, public baths, a bakery with cooking utensils still on display, and the Forum.

See the termopolia, and discover remarkably well preserved mosaics and frescoes. Feel the terror of the events of more than 2,000 years ago as you look at body casts of the citizens, frozen in time.

Learn about everyday life in the city before it was buried.
