The Journey to the Top Reaching the ruins requires a steep physical ascent: 1,480 Concrete Steps: Visitors must climb nearly 1,500 stairs cutting through a dense beech forest to reach the citadel entrance. Elevation Gain: The climb spans several hundred vertical meters up Mount Cetatea.
