What you can expect
Embark on a full-day adventure from Playa del Coco and discover the natural beauty, wildlife, and traditional flavors of Costa Rica.
Your first stop is a private and paradisiacal area along the Rio Celeste, near Tenorio Volcano. This is not the waterfall area. Here, you can relax beside the river or take a refreshing swim in its famous blue waters, surrounded by lush tropical scenery.
After your time at Rio Celeste, continue to a guided rainforest experience focused on sloths, butterflies, and other native wildlife. Walk through the forest with a knowledgeable guide who will help you spot sloths resting or moving slowly through the trees, as well as toucans, tree frogs, butterflies, and other animals. You will also visit a butterfly garden, where you can observe different species up close, including the famous blue morpho butterfly, and learn about its spectacular color and role in the ecosystem.
Please note that touching or feeding sloths or any other wildlife is strictly prohibited. This helps protect the animals and allows visitors to observe them respectfully in their natural habitat.
After the wildlife experience, enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch. Vegetarian options are available upon request.
The final stop of the day is an authentic coffee and cacao experience. Learn how coffee and cacao are grown, harvested, and transformed into two of Costa Rica’s most iconic products. Discover the traditional process, enjoy the aromas and flavors, and sample freshly prepared coffee and chocolate.
The tour includes round-trip transportation, entrance fees, a typical lunch, and the services of a professional bilingual guide.
This tour is suitable for most travelers; however, it is not wheelchair accessible.
