From the Magdalena Peninsula in Santander to Santa Justa Beach in Santillana del Mar, the Costa Quebrada stretches across nine municipalities: Santander, Miengo, Piélagos, Suances, Camargo, Santillana del Mar, Santa Cruz de Bezana, and Polanco.
The geological and environmental significance of this part of the Cantabrian Coast is unparalleled, as its territory includes several protected areas, such as the Liencres Dunes Natural Park.
Costa Quebrada is a veritable geological showcase, which is why it has been recognized as a Geopark, a designation created by UNESCO in 2015 that acknowledges not only its natural heritage but also its cultural heritage.
Our tour will cover 8 kilometers (5 miles), starting from Covachos Beach and passing through La Cubeta in La Arnía, the most photographed and recognizable abrasion platform on the Costa Quebrada. We will also see the Pedrondo sinkhole, La Baselga, El Portío cove, and Cerrías and Somocuevas beaches. We can customize the tour according to your preferences.
