Your journey begins with a comfortable pickup from your hotel in Sousse, heading North toward the lush and green Cap Bon peninsula. This is a part of Tunisia that most tourists never see, offering a refreshing contrast to the desert landscapes.
Our first major stop is the legendary cliffside village of Korbous, an ancient thermal station tucked between rugged mountains and the turquoise sea. You will experience the unique sensation of Aïn Kanassira, where natural hot medicinal springs flow directly into the Mediterranean waves. It’s a perfect spot for a natural spa moment and stunning photos of the steam rising from the blue water.
We then take the breathtaking panoramic coastal road, winding through cliffs and greenery, to reach the northernmost tip of Tunisia: El Haouaria. This village is famous for its falconry traditions and its wild, untamed beauty. You will explore the massive Roman Caves (Latomia), impressive ancient sandstone quarries located right on the water’s edge, which provided the stones to build Carthage itself.
After a lunch break (optional) facing the wild islands of Zembra and Zembretta, we head back along the coast to Kélibia. You will marvel at its majestic 16th-century Byzantine Fort, which overlooks some of the most transparent turquoise waters in the Mediterranean. Before heading back to Sousse, we will drive through the scenic orange and lemon groves of the interior, soaking in the scents of the “Garden of Tunisia.”
This is the ultimate “off-the-beaten-path” journey, designed for those who want to discover the wild side of the Mediterranean, combining natural wellness, ancient history, and dramatic coastal scenery.
