Start your day with an early meet-up at McDonald’s, right next to Tonsai Pier on Phi Phi Don Island, at 6:00 a.m. While you wait for your boat, you’ll get to see the sun start to rise over the pier. It’s a peaceful moment, and a great opportunity for photos before the island gets busy.
After everyone has arrived, your guide will take you to the speedboat. Boat departure time is between 6:15 and 6:30 a.m. from Ton Sai Pier.
Within just a few minutes by boat, you'll be at Maya Bay—one of Thailand’s most famous beaches, known from the movie “The Beach.” Being the first group to arrive means you get Maya Bay almost to yourself, which is pretty rare. You can walk along the soft white sand, take amazing photos without crowds in the background, or just relax and admire the clear turquoise water.
The tour then takes you to Pileh Lagoon, a hidden spot surrounded by tall, dramatic cliffs. The water here is incredibly clear and calm—a perfect place to swim and enjoy the scenery.
Next, you’ll cruise by Viking Cave, where you’ll see bird nests that locals collect for bird’s nest soup. Your guide will point out the cave and explain why it’s important to the people living on Phi Phi.
Then it’s off to Monkey Bay, where you can watch wild monkeys (crab-eating macaques) climbing on the beach and trees. It’s fun to watch them play but be sure not to get too close or feed them!
You’ll also have time to jump in and snorkel. The water here is perfect for spotting colorful tropical fish and corals, and if you’re lucky, you might even see Blacktip reef sharks swimming by—don’t worry, they’re harmless!
Your last stop is Bamboo Island, where you’ll relax on a stretch of soft, white sand. Lunch is served right on the beach, and you’ll have time to swim, sunbathe, or just unwind under the shade.
By about 2:30 p.m., your guide will bring you back to Tonsai Pier. This tour is designed to help you see all the best spots around Phi Phi before the big crowds arrive. You’ll get to enjoy some of the most beautiful places in Thailand in a calm, friendly atmosphere, making for a memorable day out on the islands.
