Pellumbasi Cave is situated in the Pellumbas village, near the capital city, Tirana. It’s one of the most famous caves in Albania, known for its striking stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is also notable for its rich biodiversity, including various species of bats. The hike to Pellumbasi Cave is relatively easy and takes visitors through lush forests and rugged terrain, offering scenic views along the way.
The canyon, carved by the Erzen River over thousands of years, offers breathtaking views of steep rock walls, crystal-clear waters, and lush vegetation. The area is home to a variety of bird species and wildlife, making it a great spot for photography and nature watching.
Pellumbasi Cave and Erzen Canyon can be visited together due to their proximity.

We start in the morning ,drive to Pellumbasi village where our hike begin.
From the parking spot to reach the cave is 40min to 1 hour hiking up hill,depending on the group.
Once there we enter the cave and explore ,it is really slipery at some parts so follow guide 's instruction!!
After that we go downhill to the canyon.The path to the canyon is STEEP BUT NOT DANGEROUS, slippery but managable with my help and the ropes on the trees.
Once there time to swim at the natural pools.
The way back takes 1 hour from the other side and is much easier.
