To contemplate Saco do Mamangua from the top of Sugarloaf Mountain is to understand that the perfection of nature needs no filters.

Situated between the sea and the mountain, it has a strategic location within Saco do Mamanguá (Paraty) in the Juatinga State Ecological Reserve in Paraty.

Its hiking tour is immersed in the natural landscape of the Atlantic Forest, and it also has a challenging ascent to the summit, which makes us overcome our limitations and be rewarded with a paradisiacal observation deck, from where we can see the bay of Paraty and its mountains and islands.

In the Sugarloaf Mountain Trekking Experience, we will depart at the predetermined time with the guide. We start our experience at Paraty Mirim Beach, where we take our boat to Cruzeiro Beach in Saco do Mamanguá. Shortly after the drop-off, our trekking will begin through the Caiçara community of Praia do Cruzeiro, where we will experience a bit of the local culture. The hiking tour to the summit is steep from start to finish, with 1.8 km of ascent and the same distance of descent, taking an average of 1 hour and 15 minutes to go up and the same time to go down.

At the end of the hiking tour, you can enjoy a swim in the calm sea and crystal-clear waters, relaxing until the return time. You have the option of having local meals and trying some of the local cuisine at the restaurants.
