Experience the warmth of a true Sicilian Sunday lunch in a welcoming family home near Palermo. Your cooking class begins with a welcome aperitif, giving you time to get to know your host and fellow guests. In this bright kitchen with a patio and garden, you’ll pick fresh lemons, herbs, and chili peppers before starting to cook.
During the class, you’ll prepare three classic Sicilian pasta recipes from scratch: Busiate, a long, spiral-shaped pasta; Fettuccine, a famous ribbon pasta; and Ravioli, delicious filled pasta. Seasonal vegetables such as aubergines, courgettes, or artichokes will be fried to create flavorful pasta sauces, depending on what’s fresh from the garden.
All ingredients are local, fresh, and seasonal, and you’ll be provided with every tool and an apron for the class. After cooking, you’ll enjoy your creations together at the table, accompanied by a glass of wine. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available on request, making this class suitable for everyone. Leave with new skills, full of stories, and a true taste of Sicilian hospitality.
