What you can expect

Take part in an authentic culinary experience in Paestum, inside a historic villa located close to the ancient city walls. The masterclass is led by the owner of the property himself, the guardian of a culinary tradition that dates back to 1929, the year the family first opened a restaurant in Paestum.

The experience begins with a warm welcome and a presentation of the family's history, followed by the distribution of “Mani in pasta a Paestum” aprons. After an introduction to traditional “water and flour” pasta, you will have the opportunity to interact with your tutor, ask questions, and hear stories about the local culture.

The hands-on portion involves preparing the dough and making cavatelli pasta, which will then be enjoyed during lunch. The menu includes local cold cuts and cheeses, cavatelli with tomatoes and basil from the garden, local bread, water, house wine, and coffee.

The experience concludes with the presentation of a certificate of completion and a souvenir photo, so you can take home an authentic piece of Paestum’s tradition.
