Meet at the National Theater, then set off for a complete immersion in Norwegian nature, just a few minutes from the center of Oslo by metro. The activity starts at the iconic Sognsvann Lake. After a short introduction to the route, we quickly enter the Nordmarka forest.
The trail gradually rises through wild and soothing nature, among pines, birches, moss, and forest trails. The route alternates between gentle sections and more sustained climbs, offering a perfect balance between effort and enjoyment, but remains accessible.
Throughout the hike, breaks are included to observe nature, take photos, discover the fauna, flora, and secrets of this region, and enjoy the unique atmosphere.
After about 1.5 to 2 hours of walking, we reach Vettakollen. The panorama is spectacular: Oslo stretches out below, bordered by its fjord and islands. This vantage point is considered one of the most beautiful in the region, especially at sunset, when the light enhances the terrain and the water. This is a highlight of the hike, ideal for resting, contemplating, and taking unforgettable photos.
The hike then continues along various forest paths that offer more beautiful vantage points, such as from the DNT cabin of Fuglemyrhytta.
The activity ends at Frognerseteren, from where you head back down to the town center by metro, enjoying the view one last time during the journey.
This hike is perfect for those who want an easy hike with magnificent vantage points and close to Oslo
