What you can expect

The Canadian Tank Museum is home to the largest collection of operational military vehicles in North America, totaling over 170. This sets us apart from other military museums with significant collections, in that we truly bring history to life for our visitors. Our museum is the official unit museum of Durham Region’s own local Canadian Army regiment: the Ontario Regiment RCAC.

The Museum tells the story of the Canada’s military tank forces: the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps. We are a charitable organization located in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. We specialize in the restoration, display and demonstration of historical military vehicles for the education of the public and our Armed Forces.

The collection contains both large and small artifacts that tell the story of our regiment dating back to 1866 and the formation of militia units in Canada. Our collection allows us to deliver world class programs to our visitors, and allows us to tell the stories of the Veterans who served our country in a truly memorable and meaningful way.
