Drive through the cobbled streets of Stromness and past the golf course with magnificent views of Hoy. Stop at the cliffs of Yesnaby, a spectacular stretch of coastline. Next, visit the Bay of Skaill.

Head to the Brough of Birsay, an uninhabited tidal island off the northwest coast, where you’ll find remains of Pictish, Norse, and medieval life.
