Discover the unspoiled beauty of Central Portugal on horseback. We offer guided trail rides through rolling hills, forests, picturesque villages and quiet country paths a unique way to experience the Portuguese countryside.
Group sizes
Normally, horse guided rides are limited to 3 participants and rides where the horse is led on foot to 4 participants.
Temporary limitation: Due to an injury to one of our horses and because a new horse is not yet ready for outdoor rides in a group, we currently accept a maximum of 1 person for advanced rides and rides involving walk and trot, and 2 people for rides where the horse is led on foot.
Choose the Ride That Matches Your Experience
For the safety and well-being of both guests and horses, please read the requirements carefully before booking. We may adjust your booking if your riding experience does not match the requirements.
Tour 1 – Trail Ride for Experienced Riders (1h30m)

This ride is generally not suitable for children under 13 or for riders whose experience consists mainly of occasional holiday rides, even if they have cantered before. Our horses require riders who are comfortable with correct rein contact and an independent, balanced seat. Riders with limited experience cannot join this ride.
Tour 2 – Guided Trail Ride with Walk & Trot (1h)
For adults and children aged 10+ with some riding experience, but who are not yet confident or experienced enough to ride at faster speeds, including canter.
The ride is mainly at walk, with occasional trot. Riders must be able to post the trot and control their horse independently.
A second guide accompany the ride on foot or by electric scooter to provide additional assistance when needed.
Tour 3 – Guided Tour on Foot (45 min)
For young children up to adults with little or no riding experience. The horse is led by a guide on foot and the ride takes place entirely at walk, ensuring the safety and well-being of both rider and horse.
Adults with little or no riding experience cannot join our horseback trail rides. Only the ride let on foot. If this does not mach you expectation, we recommend our quad tours, a fun and adventurous way to explore the beautiful landscapes of Central Portugal. These can also be booked through GetYourGuide.
Safety first: If your riding experience does not match the requirements of your booked ride, we reserve the right to adjust the ride to a more suitable option.
