Venture on a 21 km trek through Fueguian forests, glacial valleys, and icy lagoons to reach the impressive Ojo del Albino Glacier, in the heart of the Andes Mountains. A demanding trek, perfect for experienced mountaineers, rewarding you with unique landscapes and the support of certified guides and technical equipment. A journey that leaves its mark.
Discover the experience step by step
- 7:30 am - We'll pick you up from your accommodation
We'll pick you up from your accommodation in a private vehicle. The schedule can vary depending on the number of passengers. - 8:00 AM - Start of the trek
Equipment check, technical gear review, and a quick chat with the guide for final recommendations. - 8:15 AM - Entering Route 3
Start of the hike through the Fuegian forest towards Laguna Esmeralda. First stretch of about 5 km. - 10:00 - Cross the Emerald Lagoon and arrive at the TITAN Shelter
If the lagoon's frozen, you'll cross it on the ice; if not, you'll skirt it through the forest. From the refuge, the ascent to the glacier begins. - 11:00 - Technical ascent to the Ojo del Albino Glacier
A tough stretch with a steep incline. You'll use crampons and poles. The landscape becomes spectacular: valleys, ice, and mountains surround you. - 12:30 - Arrival at the glacier and lunch
Take a break to rest, snap some photos, and enjoy lunch in front of the impressive glacier amphitheater. - 1:30 PM - Head back along the same trail
Descend with the guides, keeping the group's pace and safety in mind. - 5:30 PM - End of the activity
Head back to the starting point and then we'll take you back to Ushuaia. You'll be back between 5:00 and 6:00 PM.
