Overview

  • You can't visit Sorrento without tasting the food that defines it. This tour takes you beyond the main drag and into the narrow medieval vicoletti where locals actually eat, from a century-old mozzarella factory to a family osteria serving the gnocchi alla Sorrentina that put this town on the map.

Wander through one of the last lemon groves in the city centre, pause at a 14th-century civic relic your guidebook probably skipped, and end at a tucked-away limoncello paradise most visitors never find.

This Sorrento food tour has it all: history, cheese, pizza, and a glass of something very, very good.

Activity itinerary

Step into a cheese-making tradition that stretches back over a century. You'll taste your way through three distinct styles: soft, young, and aged. Understand why this is the mozzarella the locals actually buy.

Corso Italia

  • 30m
Watch your pizza come to life in front of you, dough stretched and loaded with Sorrento's finest ingredients and. Hot, crispy, and gone before you know it. This is Neapolitan pizza done right, peninsula style.

Corso Italia (Pass by)

Tucked behind one of the city's oldest restaurant gardens, this is one of the last remaining lemon groves in central Sorrento. Breathe it in, this is where the peninsula's most famous flavour actually grows.

Winding through lanes unchanged since the 14th century, your guide points out hidden corners before pausing at a relic of medieval power, one of the few places where Sorrento's layered history still stands.

Via San Paolo

  • 40m
Hidden in a quiet corner away from the bustle, a family-run kitchen serves the dish Sorrento is most proud of: pillowy gnocchi in a rich tomato sauce, followed by a savory meatball. A glass of wine makes it even better.

Via Fuoro

  • 20m
A young local couple running one of the centre's most beloved spots, the ice cream is creamy and seasonal, and the granita is pure lemon bliss. The perfect pause before the final stretch.

Via San Francesco (Pass by)

Sorrento's beloved public gardens open onto a jaw-dropping panorama of the Bay of Naples. Pause here, let the view sink in. This is where the cliffs meet the sea, and the city takes its breath.
