Explore the rich culinary history of New Orleans on a tour that combines a cooking class with a French Quarter cocktail tour.
First, learn about the basics of Louisiana cuisine from a professional chef during an entertaining demonstration, then sample classics such as jambalaya, gumbo, and pralines. When your cooking class ends you will have a few minutes to shop in the General Store before your tour guide arrives at the School to pick you up for the second part of your tour.
On the cocktail portion of the tour, you'll go behind the scenes in some of America’s oldest bars and restaurants. You’ll spend the afternoon learning the stories behind classic cocktails like the Sazerac, America’s first cocktail, that was born in New Orleans in 1838.
Two full cocktails are included in the ticket price with the opportunity to purchase additional cocktails during the tour. If you don’t finish your drink, ask for a “to go cup.” Here, it’s easy to forget you’re on a tour because this is history with a twist!
You must be 21+ to take this tour.
