What you can expect

  • Create a Goshuin-style card or hanging scroll with Japanese calligraphy and take it home in an old Japanese house in Nara or a temple in Osaka city. Up to 6 people can participate in Nara, and up to 10 people in Osaka.
    This is a simple, beginner-friendly experience that anyone can enjoy.

    Learn how to grip a fude brush. Warm up by drawing lines, then practice 3,4 times before your real performance. Decorate your piece with your name in Japanese-style stamps, then let the instructor write the date beautifully with a calligraphy brush.

    Finally, take photo holding your work.
    You can get one-of-a-kind, original pieces.
