Hi, I'm Marianna, owner of an Organic Vinegar Cellar, and I'll be your guide on a visit to an ancient Acetaia (balsamic vinegar cellar) that for several generations has been producing Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO aged in batteries of barrels of different woods. It'll be a great sensory journey where you'll be pleasantly enveloped by the scent of the real Black Gold of Modena!
During the visit, I'll tell you about the centuries-old history of balsamic vinegar and the secrets of making this precious elixir of long life!
At the end of the tour, I'll offer you several samples of Traditional and Organic Balsamic Vinegar and other condiments we make. All paired with a good Parmigiano Reggiano PDO. You can also take our products home with you as a souvenir of this interesting experience!
From the Acetaia, we'll then move to a wonderful estate surrounded by olive trees where artisan extra virgin olive oil is produced, just a few kilometers from our cellar. Here, you'll meet the historic producer who has been making his natural Extra Virgin olive oil for many years. He'll explain the production method and its history, and you'll end with a delicious tasting of his products!
At the end of this experience, you can buy a good oil to pair with the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar PDO.
