Start your day early at 5:00 AM in Miranda. The first stop is a nearby bay, where you can observe wetland species such as Choca-barrada, João Pinto, and Tachãs, as well as common birds like Asa-de-telha.
Next, walk through the riverside forest of the Miranda River, listening to the morning chorus. Here, you may spot Tecelão, Tico-tico-de-bico-amarelo, and other riparian species. A highlight is the Chororó-do-Pantanal, an endemic Pantanal bird — hearing its song is a rare and unforgettable experience.
From the forest, continue along a rural road, known for sightings of the emblematic Saci, and reach the MS-339, then enter the historic train tracks leading to the town.
The trail concludes along Avenida Afonso Pena, passing the Old Plant, until you reach the Miranda Train Station. The tour finishes with a full breakfast at Hotel Miranda, right next to the station.
The total distance is approximately 4.5 km, suitable for beginners and nature enthusiasts, combining wildlife, culture, and local history.
