Minneriya National Park, located in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province, is a wildlife sanctuary famous for its breathtaking scenery and extraordinary elephant gatherings. The park spans over 8,800 hectares and is built around the historic Minneriya Tank, an ancient irrigation reservoir constructed by King Mahasen in the 3rd century AD.
