Here, we will visit a family workshop where master craftsmen will show you the traditional process: from the carding of the wool to the dyeing with natural pigments such as cochineal and indigo. You'll learn the meaning behind each Zapotec design, giving you a deep insight into this cultural heritage.
The Spirit of Oaxaca: Mezcal Distillery To top it all off, we'll enter an artisan mezcal distillery (palenque). You'll get a closer look at the production process of “the drink of the gods”: from baking the agave piñas in earthen ovens to distilling in copper pots. The experience culminates with a guided tasting of different varieties of mezcal, allowing you to distinguish the nuances and aromas that make this drink a unique liquid treasure in the world.
