What you can expect

Enjoy a profound and enriching experience in the spiritual heart of Mexico on this walking tour of the Marian site of Tepeyac. We will begin with a detailed explanation of the Guadalupano Code, a symbolic and cultural message that reveals the historical significance of the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Afterwards, we will go outside the basilica to receive the priest's blessing, a special moment for those who wish to begin the tour with intention and peace.
Next, we will visit the New Basilica, where you can admire Juan Diego's original tilma, carefully preserved on the main altar. Later, we will visit the Old Basilica, an architectural gem that showcases the history and the passage of time in this sacred area.
The tour continues through the Tepeyac Gardens as we ascend the hill to reach the Capilla del Cerrito (Cerrito Chapel), a site that commemorates the third apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe. From there, we will begin our descent through the gardens and past the fountains on the grounds to reach the Capilla del Pósito, where the second apparition is commemorated.
Finally, we will arrive at the Old Chapel of the Indigenous People, a site that honors the Virgin Mary's first appearance to Juan Diego, thus completing a tour rich in history, culture, spirituality, and natural beauty. At the end of the tour, you will be given your tickets so that you can enjoy the Guadalupano Museum at your leisure. After 5:00 pm, the churches and the museum begin to close at different times; we recommend taking the tour before 4:00 pm if you want to see the entire site.
