At the designated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Merida to begin a tour of the famous and mysterious Puuc Route, a region renowned for its impressive archaeological heritage. The word Puuc means “hill” or “mountain” in Mayan, and refers to this unique area in southern Yucatan.
Our first stop will be Labná, an ancient Mayan city known for its exquisite architectural details and beautiful stone structures. We will then visit Kabah, Sayil, and Xlapak, three important archaeological sites that are part of the Puuc Route. During the journey, your guide will share information about the history, architecture, and symbolism of these impressive Mayan structures.
We will continue to Uxmal, one of the most important archaeological sites in Mexico and a World Heritage Site. Here, you can admire the Magician's Pyramid, the Governor's Palace, and other iconic buildings that reflect the grandeur of the Mayan civilization.
Halfway through the tour, we will stop to enjoy a typical Yucatecan lunch at a local restaurant. At the end of the tour, we will enjoy a comfortable return journey to your hotel in Mérida, bringing to a close a day full of history, culture, and traditions.
