What you can expect

Mercer Labs Museum of Art and Technology is a new kind of cultural destination—one that invites exploration, interaction, and immersion. Located in the heart of New York City, Mercer Labs is home to Maestros and the Machines, a groundbreaking exhibition that explores the evolving relationship between human creativity and technological innovation.

Spread across 15 interactive rooms, the exhibition is not a collection of static works—it’s a living environment where art, sound, light, and movement converge. Each space within the museum—The Line, The Window, The Dragon Room, The Map Room, and more—is a unique environment designed to challenge perception and stir imagination. Guests pass through The Window, a massive architectural entryway, into a futuristic journey that unfolds through mirrored infinity spaces, 16K laser projections, immersive soundscapes, and sensory chambers.

At the Drawing Station, your artwork is scanned and brought to life in a 3D digital ecosystem. The 4D Sound Gallery surrounds you with directional sound holograms that shift as you move. The Dragon Room, a highlight of the experience, is filled with more than 507,000 LED lights choreographed to music and motion. The Map Room immerses you in scale and precision, with 16K projections across vast surfaces that reframe how you understand space.

Maestros and the Machines challenges the boundaries between audience and artist. It reimagines what legendary figures like Da Vinci or Mozart might have created if they had access to today’s tools—and invites you to consider what’s possible when technology becomes an extension of the creative mind.

From interactive robots and sculptural chess pieces to a Ball Pond for playful release, the museum is designed to engage all ages and abilities. The experience concludes in the Mochi Café, where guests can unwind with Japanese mochi ice cream and sparkling drinks in a sleek, design-forward lounge.

Whether you’re a tech lover, a designer, a tourist, or a curious local, Mercer Labs offers more than a museum—it offers a full-sensory exploration of the future of creativity. This is art you don’t just view. You feel it, move through it, and shape it with your presence.
