Here’s your day laid out:

• Midnight: We’ll pick you up from your hotel or the Malang train station. Settle in for the 2.5-hour drive to the Jeep base.
• 2:30 AM: Arrive at the Jeep base—time to stretch your legs.
• 3:00 AM: Climb into a 4WD Jeep and head up to one of the sunrise viewpoints. Maybe Pananjakan, Kingkong Hill, or something similar.
• 4:00 AM: Get your camera ready, pick your spot, or just relax with a hot drink at a local coffee stall while you wait for sunrise.
• 5:00 AM: Sunrise! Watch the sky light up over Mount Semeru, Bromo, and Batok—a seriously amazing view.
• 6:00 AM: Start heading down from the viewpoint.
• 6:15 AM: Pause for some photos in Tengger National Park.
• 6:30 AM: The Jeep takes you down to the Sea of Sand and stops at the foot of Mount Bromo.
• 7:00 AM: Start your hike up the stairs to the Bromo crater. Stand on the edge and take in the wild, otherworldly view.
• 9:30 AM: Back to the Jeep base.
• 10:00 AM: Hit the road again for your return trip to Probolinggo or Malang.
• By 1:00 PM: You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the train station—all wrapped up.
