Begin your tour at Kahului Airport (OGG) in Maui. Arrive at the airport no later than 5:00 AM for your 6:00 AM Hawaiian Airlines flight to Honolulu and then to Hilo. Upon arrival in Hilo, meet your guide at the airport and begin your tour.

Stop at various places until you reach the famed Rainbow Falls State Park on the edge of town. Then, head to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park to see an active volcano and craters of the past along Chain of Craters Road.

See the steam vents, check out the destruction of the crater due to the most recent eruption, and see how the landscape changes. Get other great information in the learning center of the Visitor Center.

Your tour also includes stops at a black sand beach, a lunch stop, scenic viewpoints, gardens, and more. Your guide will return you back to the ITO airport in Hilo for your flight back to Maui, where your driver will meet you at the airport (if transportation was purchased in your package) to transport you back to your hotel.
