Experience a 2-day adventure from Malang exploring East Java’s natural highlights, combining the impressive Tumpak Sewu Waterfall and the iconic Mount Bromo sunrise in one seamless journey.
Your trip begins in the morning with pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Malang between approximately 06:30–07:30. Travel by comfortable vehicle to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, with the journey taking around 3 hours.
Upon arrival, explore one of Indonesia’s most spectacular waterfalls, surrounded by lush cliffs and tropical scenery. You can enjoy the panoramic viewpoint or continue trekking down for a closer experience with the assistance of a local guide. After exploration, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your journey.
In the afternoon, travel to your accommodation near the Bromo area. Arrive in the evening, check in, enjoy dinner, and rest before the early start the next day.
On the second day, wake up early around 02:30–03:00 for the Mount Bromo sunrise experience. Travel by 4x4 jeep to the viewpoint, where you can enjoy sunrise views between approximately 04:30–06:00 as the volcanic landscape emerges above the clouds.
After sunrise, continue across the sea of sand and hike to the crater of Mount Bromo. The trek takes around 30–45 minutes and offers a close-up view of the active volcano.
Return to your accommodation for breakfast, shower, and preparation before check-out. The journey then continues with a transfer to your drop-off location, either back to Malang or to Bali via ferry, with arrival in the late afternoon or evening depending on traffic and destination.
