What you can expect

Continue to Machico, Madeira’s oldest town, known for its charming centre, shops, sand beach, and historical monuments.

Ascend to Pico do Facho at ~570 m, one of the island’s most scenic viewpoints, where you can contemplate Madeira’s “dragon tail” coastline or watch aircraft landing at the airport.

Visit the extreme east side of the island at Ponta do Rosto, where African winds have shaped the landscape into a desert‑like environment, offering a unique view over Ponta de São Lourenço.

From here, traverse the island to the north and climb through the Laurissilva Forest to reach Miradouro da Portela, with lush‑green scenery over Madeira’s north coast.

The last stop is Quinta da Junta Garden in Santo da Serra, a Madeiran favourite where you can walk among exotic plants, observe local birds, and enjoy a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the hills of Machico.
