Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation. As we drive towards the Chão da Lagoa in the Ecological Park of Funchal, we'll stop for a briefing where you’ll receive all the necessary information and gear up.

Upon arrival, we start our journey with a small scenic hike through Madeira’s lush Laurissilva Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This approximately 5-hour activity accounts for the total time, including transportation, time for equipping and de-equipping, the activity itself, approaching and exiting the canyon, as well as safety briefings. It tour offers a unique blend of adventure and nature, involving navigating a mountainous watercourse by swimming, jumping, and rappelling down waterfalls.

The Ribeira das Cales route features five rappels, with the highest at 18 meters (60 feet). Guided by experienced professionals, you'll traverse rocky paths to rappel sites, abseiling down waterfalls into crystal-clear pools. No prior experience is needed; our guides ensure safety and fun.

Bring a towel, bathing suit, sports shoes (that can get wet), and a change of clothes. All other equipment, including safety harness and wetsuit, is provided. We might also take a small break to eat a snack, relax and enjoy the surroundings. After the exhilarating canyoning adventure, you'll return to your accommodation.
