What you can expect
Discover the Macarena neighborhood accompanied by a licensed guide on a guided tour designed to show you some of the most authentic places and most representative monuments of this historic area of Seville. Starting in the lively Alameda de Hércules, you'll begin a walk through one of the city's most distinctive neighborhoods while your guide shares stories, anecdotes, and curiosities that help you understand Sevillian life and traditions.
For about 1.5 hours, you'll tour some of the neighborhood's highlights. You'll discover historic buildings such as the Casa de las Sirenas and the Palacio de los Marqueses de la Algaba, and learn about the importance of iconic places such as the Mercado de la Calle Feria, one of the most traditional markets in Seville. Along the way, you can also admire churches of great historical and artistic value, such as the Parish of Omnium Sanctorum or the impressive Church of San Luis de los Franceses.
The visit continues through streets and squares that show the historical evolution of the neighborhood and its strong popular identity. You'll pass by places full of history, such as the Parish of Santa Marina or the Casa Palacio del Pumarejo, places that reflect the traditional character of La Macarena and its close relationship with everyday life in the city.
The tour ends next to one of the most important symbols of Seville: the Basilica of the Macarena, next to the old city walls and the Puerta de la Macarena. From here, you'll have a complete overview of this historic Sevillian neighborhood and you can continue exploring on your own one of the most authentic and traditional places in the city.
