Thangka painting:
Guided by an experienced Thangka artist, you’ll begin with an introduction to the cultural meaning of Thangka, the tools used, and basic painting techniques. Step by step, the teacher will guide you through the process, making this experience suitable for complete beginners with no prior drawing experience.

You will create your own mini Thangka painting (usually no larger than 4 × 5 cm). Once finished, your artwork will be framed and fitted with a hanging cord, making it easy to take home as a meaningful souvenir from Lhasa.

The studio setting allows for a focused and immersive creative experience, helping you connect deeply with this centuries-old Tibetan art form. (In case of unexpected circumstances, the workshop may take place in another professional Thangka studio, with the same level of instruction and quality.)

Barkhor Street Walking Tour:
After the Thangka painting workshop, continue your experience with a guided walk through Barkhor Street, the spiritual and cultural heart of Lhasa. Along the way, explore traditional shops selling prayer flags, incense, handcrafted jewelry, and everyday Tibetan goods. This walk offers a vivid glimpse into how religion, culture, and daily life intertwine in Lhasa, making it an ideal complement to the hands-on art experience.
