After departing Launceston, your first stop is the Georgian township of Campbell Town for supplies, snacks and seeing convict relics.
Entering Freycinet National Park, you're greeted by spectacular views of The Hazards. On arrival, your tour guide leads a moderate 45-minute uphill walk to the Wineglass Bay lookout, the heart-pumping climb is rewarded with one of the best views in the Southern Hemisphere: sweeping white sand and turquoise water in a perfect wineglass-shaped bay.
From here, the choice is yours:
For the keen hikers, extend the hike down to the beach for a swim and lunch on the sand, before the return climb up the 1,000 steps.
Or return from the Lookout with your tour guide to explore more of Freycinet, taking in Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay and the Cape Tourville Lighthouse walk.
Our last stop is Devil's Corner winery, perched above Freycinet, the perfect spot for wine, fresh seafood from Freycinet Marine Farm, woodfired pizza or gelato. Then it's onwards to Hobart.
