2-Day Tour: Lanzhou to Labrang Monastery & Sangke Grassland:
D1:Pick you up at Lanzhou Center/Dongfanghong Square or downtown hotels, then go to Huangtao Convergence Viewing Platform . Here, the blue Yellow River and ochre Tao River form a distinct Y-shape against Longhui Mountain, a striking natural wonder locally called “Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl”.
After 1hr of exploration, we drive another 3hrs to Ganja Secret Realm, where a local guide leads an 8km hike amid stunning scenery. After the hike, we head to Xiahe County for self-arranged hotel check-in.
D2:Pick you up at your downtown Xiahe hotel, drive to Sangke Grassland for horse riding and archery. After 1hr of activities, drive to Labrang Monastery – one of Gelug Buddhism’s six major monasteries and the “World's Tibetan Studies Center”. After 3hrs of exploration, we drive 3hrs back to Lanzhou, ending the memorable tour.

3-Day Tour: Lanzhou to Zhagana, Langmusi, Sangke Grassland:
D1:
Pick you up at Lanzhou Center, Dongfanghong Square or downtown hotels, then drive 1.5hrs to Huangtao Convergence Viewing Platform. The blue Yellow River and ochre Tao River form a striking Y-shape here, a local wonder named “Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl” with clear water division.
After exploration, drive to Ganja Secret Realm for immersion in breathtaking scenery. Leads to Labrang Monastery – one of Gelug Buddhism’s six major monasteries and the “World's Tibetan Studies Center”.
After exploration, head to Xiahe County for self-arranged hotel check-in.
D2:
Pick you up at your downtown Xiahe hotel, drive to Sangke Grassland for horseback riding and archery, then head to Langmusi. This “one-town-two-provinces-three-temples” town, dubbed a miniature Shangri-La, blends plateau canyons, Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and villages, with golden-roofed temples in morning mist, monastic debates and sky burial culture.
After exploration, drive to Zhagana—Joseph Rock’s “birthplace of Adam and Eve”. At dawn, the 3,000-meter stone city and Tibetan villages glow like a thangka, with 300-year-old chants at Lhasang Monastery mingling with folk songs. We arrange a local Tibetan family visit: khata greeting, barley wine, tsampa-making, barley grinding and indoor Guozhuang dances. Far from modern noise, mist shrouds Mani stone piles for a nature-synced spiritual experience. Overnight in Zhagana (self-arranged hotel).
D3:Zhagana hotel pickup, then drive along the legendary Lock's Road through stunning rugged landscapes to Milarepa Buddhist Temple—Tibet’s only nine-story temple honoring Tibetan Buddhism’s founding masters. Each floor features distinct era/branch relics: statues, thangkas, murals and intricate master paintings, a treasure trove of artistic and spiritual heritage. After exploration, drive back to Lanzhou ends the enriching trip.
