The itinerary follows a circular route starting from Portole, in a position above Lake Iseo. The initial section of the route crosses a wooded area characterized by a mixed composition of broad-leaved trees and conifers, proceeding with a steep but regular slope until you reach a rural accommodation facility located along the route.
Once you pass the tavern, the trail gets more physically demanding due to an increase in elevation. The ascent continues along slopes that offer constant views of the lake area and the Sebino island system, until you reach the maximum altitude. From the summit, you can see a complete orographic panorama that includes the Alpine arc and the neighboring valleys.
The return leg follows a slope that completes the loop, maintaining a significant incline, similar to the one you faced during the ascent. However, the descent is technically less complex thanks to a more linear and easier trail, which leads the hiker back to the starting point through a more uniform wooded area.
At the end of the excursion, for those who wish to conclude the experience with an in-depth look at the local food and wine, the guide is available to organize a convivial lunch at a local tavern to taste the typical products of the area.
