Start your half-day small-group tour (max 10 people) with a comfortable taxi ride from Bayahibe around 8 a.m or La Romana around 8.30 a.m toward the Cueva de las Maravillas, one of the most fascinating natural sites in the Dominican Republic.
Your guided visit begins at the Taíno Museum, where you’ll learn about the island’s first inhabitants and their ancient traditions. Then explore the impressive underground cave, filled with mysterious petroglyphs, stalactites, and stalagmite, an unforgettable cultural and nature experience.
At the exit, you’ll meet the friendly iguanas that live near the cave before heading to the tropical maze. This fun and family-friendly challenge will test your sense of direction, it’s not as easy as it looks! The first person to reach the center will receive a small surprise from Tropical Evasion, and everyone can enjoy a refreshing drink to celebrate their adventure.
Around noon, begin your return journey to Bayahibe, stopping at a local chocolate factory for a short explanation, tasting, and a chance to buy handmade souvenirs.
(Guests from La Romana hotels will skip the chocolate stop due to logistics.)
