What you can expect
Under one of the best skies in the world is La Palma, Canary Islands; from this window to the Universe, travel through the Cosmos. With the guidance of certified astronomical monitors, observe constellations, satellites and other moving objects with the naked eye with the help of the astronomical laser.
Through the binoculars watch vast regions of the sky including Nebulae and Star Clusters, and this way, take a journey through distances and time using an Advanced Astronomical Telescope, starting from the Solar System, getting to know the surface of the Moon, Planets like Jupiter with its four Galilean Moons or Saturn presenting a majestic figure, to the most diverse stars.
Then, Deep Space awaits you, where the Galaxies and Nebulae are the protagonists.
Live the experience with the explanation provided by the Astronomical Monitor, learn about the Universe according to different cultures through myths and legends, the physics of the Cosmos and the chemistry that gives rise to the Stars.
Come and live the experience of being an Amateur Astronomer for a night in one of the best Skies in the World.
-Duration: Between 1.5 hours and 1 hour 45 minutes, depending on the questions and the interest that the group shows.
-Meeting Point and Weather Policy
The meeting point for the activity varies depending on the weather conditions at each location:
a) “Llano del Jable Astronomical Viewpoint” (1,341 m.a.s.l.)
b) “Llano de Las Ventas Astronomical Viewpoint” (1,320 m.a.s.l.)
Both 39 minutes from Santa Cruz, Cancajos, Los Llanos.
c) “San Antonio Volcano”, Fuencaliente (Private location) (633 m.a.s.l.) 40 minutes from Santa Cruz, Cancajos, Los Llanos. 15 minutes from the “Princess Hotel”
We will confirm the exact location and time on the day of the activity, depending on weather and sky conditions (wind, humidity, clouds, haze, government alerts and pre-alerts, site occupancy, and position of objects).
Because this is an outdoor activity entirely dependent on the weather and the night sky, the location, starting time, and even the observing setup may change slightly to ensure the best experience for you. Every day we check the weather radar and the celestial objects that will be visible, so the start time is approximate — it adjusts with the sunset and the visibility of the night sky, which change daily.
If the weather at the usual locations is not suitable (due to clouds, wind, or official alerts), and always prioritizing your safety, comfort, and enjoyment, we may move the activity to a private indoor or sheltered location, when available, to ensure a quality experience under the stars.
That’s why it is very important that on the day of the activity you stay attentive to your mobile phone (WhatsApp, if you don't use it, let us know earlier) or email, as we will send you all the details about the exact meeting point and time as soon as we have confirmed the conditions.
Thank you for your flexibility — It’s part of the adventure of astronomy! ✨
