What you can expect

In the early morning, we will depart from the bustling transportation hub of Fukuoka—Hakata Station's Tsukushi-guchi Exit—to embark on a meticulously planned journey through the essence of Kyushu. The first stop is the highly anticipated Oita Kyushu Natural Zoological Park. As one of Japan's largest and most interactive wildlife parks, here you will venture into vast, natural habitats to observe lions, giraffes, elephants, and other animals in their most relaxed and authentic states. Whether hand-feeding adorable bears or witnessing the king of the savanna patrol its territory, the 150-minute immersive experience is enough to fill both adults and children with the joy of connecting with life and the wonder of nature's teachings.

In the afternoon, we bid farewell to the animal kingdom and head to Yufuin, renowned as “Japan's Most Beautiful Hot Spring Town.” More than just a hot spring destination, it is a dreamy place brimming with artistic charm and leisurely moments. Stroll along Yunotsubo Street, lined with designer boutique shops, local art galleries, and fragrant traditional wagashi confectionery stores. Gaze at the elegant silhouette of Mount Yufu, relax in a quaint café, or seek out the tranquility of Kinrin Lake, said to have inspired the scenery of My Neighbor Totoro. With 120 minutes of free time, you can savor local specialties like Bungo beef cuisine, shop for unique handicrafts, and allow your mind and body to fully unwind in the town's slow-flowing time, accompanied by the faint scent of sulfur in the air.

The third surprise of the itinerary is a visit to the most stunning of Beppu's “Eight Hells” hot springs—the “Sea Hell” (Umi Jigoku). A pool of steaming hot water, reaching temperatures of 98°C, presents a magical and pure cobalt-blue spectacle, as if the sea itself were brought into a volcanic crater. Shrouded in mist and steam, the view is truly magnificent—a testament to the earth's breath and a powerful display of our planet's vitality. Here, you can not only marvel at this awe-inspiring natural wonder but also taste onsen tamago (hot spring eggs) steamed by geothermal heat, experiencing the unique flavor born from the earth's energy.

In the evening, filled with the emotions of encountering wildlife, the relaxation of the hot spring town, and the awe of natural wonders, we will comfortably return to Hakata Station. On this day, we transcend the boundaries of nature, culture, and geology, condensing the diverse soul of Kyushu into an efficient yet rich journey. This is more than just sightseeing—it is a deep, sensory experience that engages all your senses. We look forward to sharing this unforgettable journey with you.
