What you can expect

Visit a traditional Japanese townhouse, known as a machiya, and partake in a tea ceremony while dressed in traditional attire in Kyoto.

First, upon your arrival, an authentic silk kimono will be promptly fitted for you. We will then take many photos of you and your loved ones with our gorgeous machiya as a background.

We are excited to provide you with a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.
Tea is an inseparable part of Japanese culture. Watch a traditional tea ceremony performance hosted by a seasoned tea master, and immerse yourself in the space.

This experience is conducted in a group with other participants.
If you prefer a more private setting, please select the private experience option.

We will also be guided through Tondaya, a 140-year-old machiya (traditional Kyoto townhouse) designated as a culturally significant landmark by the Kyoto City Government. Tondaya is a treasure trove of historically valuable artifacts and stories, and our knowledgeable staff look forward to sharing its rich history with you.

We will also prepare a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.
