In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Tbilisi and from there you'll start your journey. Travel by comfortable car on the road that connects Georgia to Russia. Driving from Tbilisi to Kazbegi will take 3 to 4 hours with several stops at different places for taking photos, buying souvenirs or just enjoying the view.

Your first stop will be at the Jinval water reservoir; next explore the Ananuri fortress complex. The complex comprises fortification, churches, defense spaces, living areas and storages buildings. Explore the fortress and enjoy beautiful views of the Jinvali reservoir. By driving through Aragvi valley, you will reach Gudauri ski resort with its observation decks.

You will continue your journey by the Jvari pass and stop in a tiny town called Stepantsminda. From there, you will ascend high into the Gergeti hills to the Gergeti monastery (by trail or off-road jeeps). You can absorb the panoramic views and mountain air. In addition, you will stop for a short time in the village of Pasanauri, for the opportunity to learn how to cook authentic Georgian cuisine - Khinkali (dumplings).
