The springtime thaw starts in earnest around March, and at this time the slopes of the mountain burst into color as the meadows and forests bloom with spectacular, multi-colored flowers. From August to October is the dry season, a time of endlessly temperate, cloud-free days and nights punctuated by gorgeous star-lit skies.
