The Marwari Horses

We use Marwari horses trained at our own stables. This breed is native in Rajasthan, very Intelligent, loyal and best suited for long rides in this region. The most distinguishing features of the Rajasthani horse are its lyre-shaped ears, which curve inward and often meet at the tips. Besides providing a sharp hearing, they can be turned by 180 degrees.

The Jaipur Village Horse Safari Itinerary

Arrival and Welcome:Begin your day at our Sutd Farm Polo Club, where you'll be greeted with a hot cup of tea or coffee at a pavilion overlooking the club and horses.
Wwe love to showoff and take you on a show-round of our beautiful polo ponies and indigenous bread of Marwari horses.

Preparation:We provide all necessary safety gear, including English saddles, helmets, and chaps.
Receive an exhaustive briefing by our Tour Captain.
Acclimate with your horse in a paddock, getting to know each other before the ride begins.

The Ride: Start with slow walks through pastoral paths to master the walk and relax in the saddle.
Transition to a trot, feeling the cold breeze as you ride through open fields.
*Take a short stop amidst lush green fields for the horses to drink water while you enjoy freshly picked fruits and a hot cup of tea.

We then get the horses canter into the sandy river beds heading into the village farmlands where the village folk are exhilarated at the sight of these majestic animals galloping through the fields. One may feel like the regal Maharaja of the ancient era who has come to check if everything is running fine in his territory, HAHA!. Moreover, the ride in the countryside or to the off-beaten trails offers ample excitement. We Ride for 1.5 to 2 hours, accompanied by a backup vehicle with a medical kit.

Refreshments:During the ride, Refreshments are served at a stop near a canal or open field.

Return and Breakfast:Upon returning to the Polo Club, enjoy a refreshing fresh lime drink.
Relish a sumptuous breakfast while sharing horseman stories of Rajasthan.

Polo Experience:After breakfast, try your hand at stick and ball with our expert polo players.
A quick polo lesson and game will be the highlight, providing a unique and memorable experience.
