What you can expect

  • Meet your guide at your hotel and head to the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam, 20 minutes from Foz do Iguaçu and a world leader in clean and renewable energy production. Itaipu is located between Brazil and Paraguay, so you’ll visit both countries on this tour.

Your tour begins with a 10-minute video at the Visitor Center, which tells the history of the construction of the dam. The guided tour continues by bus outside of the reservoir with three stops to allow you to appreciate its panoramic views.

See the view from the edge of the dam and continue on the path that will take you to the natural surroundings of the dam and the beautiful scenery inside the Touristic Itaipu Complex. At the end of the tour, enjoy the beautiful view of Itaipu Lake before returning to your hotel.

Ps.: Do not consider the times described in the activity/itinerary to be exact. They are just an estimate. Our reservations department will contact you the day before the activity to confirm your schedule.
